Before you enter
A fair competition starts with clear rules.
The entry fee for each event is shown on its individual event page. Entering an event confirms that you agree to pay the stated fee and comply with these terms throughout the competition.
Entry & eligibility
All players must hold an official handicap and be a current member of a golf club.
- All entrants must be at least 16 years old.
- By entering a TPC Twos event, you agree to pay the entry fee shown on the relevant event page.
Rules, format & equipment
All events are played under the Rules of Golf as laid down by The R&A.
- The competition format is Stableford and events are played from the designated competition tees.
- Each event is run as an official open competition, with players’ scores counting towards their national handicap record.
- GPS and distance-measuring devices are permitted for measuring distance only.
Bad weather, course closures & rescheduling
If an event is cancelled because of bad weather or a course closure, players will be provided with a voucher to play the course at another time.
If an event is rescheduled and the new date is not suitable for your diary, a voucher will be provided so that you can play the course in your own time.
Handicap integrity
To protect the integrity of the events, the organisers reserve the right to adjust a player’s handicap where they believe it does not accurately reflect that player’s ability.
The organisers also reserve the right to disqualify a player or pair where the tournament committee determines, in its absolute discretion, that a player’s handicap is inaccurate when compared with their actual playing ability.
The committee may consider any or all of the following:
- A review of the player’s handicap history.
- Previous tournament or competition results.
- Current sanctions imposed by other national golf tournaments, county bodies or national golf administrative bodies.
- The relevance of qualifying competitions completed during the previous 36 months.
- Complaints already in the public domain and any other handicap inconsistencies brought to the organisers’ attention.
National Finals qualification
TPC Twos is a pairs event. Only the pair that qualifies is permitted to take part in the National Finals.
